What is the financial commitment?

It’s up to you! It costs Austin Habitat $85,000 for the materials necessary to build a home. We therefore always encourage sponsors to set their goals at this level. However, you can see our different sponsorship levels through the link above.

Who are we building for?

The collective group build will work with 5 – 9 partner families. Each Habitat partner family pays a zero-interest mortgage, property taxes, and puts in 300 hours of “sweat equity” labor on Habitat communities before moving into their own home. Austin Habitat sets your Central Texas neighbors up for a successful future by providing affordable housing to hard-working, local families and individuals. We encourage you to be a part of the community as we work together to build a better Austin.

Why should you participate?

Aside from the benefits listed on our sponsorship matrix, and the amazing work that you will be putting in to drastically change the lives of up to 9 Habitat partner families, you will be a part of strengthening the community. Working together towards a common goal breeds support, community, and momentum for companies, organizations, and the community as a whole.

What if I have more questions?

Thank you for joining us as we build homes,

communities, and hope!

Why Give to Austin Habitat?

By buiding and repairing homes in partnership with low-income families, austin habitat has been building a better austin since 1985

Safe and stable homes are the foundation of successful families and communities.

The affordable housing crisis in our community forces many families to move frequently, locate further from their jobs, and live in overcrowded, deteriorating conditions.
