The Family Selection Committee works with Austin Habitat applicants, serving as a resource to help them through the application process towards the goal of acceptance to the homeownership program.  Some of the committee's responsibilities include: conducting orientations for potential applicants, performing application intake and review, interviewing applicants, and determining applicants’ suitability for the Homebuying Program. The committee meets twice a month, and volunteers on average dedicate between 3 and 10 hours a month to this committee. The Family Partnership Committee works with the families who have already been approved to participate in our program and are completing requirements for becoming Homebuyers. The committee has a variety of responsibilities, including working directly with the families and facilitating workshops. The committee meets twice a month, and volunteers on average dedicate between 3 and 10 hours a month to the committee. This is a relatively new committee which is in great need of volunteers. Public Relations Committee works to promote the mission of AHFH through various mediums, creates a quarterly newsletter and governs our Speaker’s Bureau.  Please contact Michael Kellerman, AHFH Director of External Relations and Development, at [ email ] or 472-8788 ext. 408.
