| Programs and Plans » Planshare Welcome to Austin Habitat for Humanity's Planshare web site. We hope to provide a helpful addition to the Habitat Plan Book for Habitat affiliates in the hot humid climate zone. Over time we have developed a portfolio of house plans appropriate for various lot shapes and orientations. Some of these plans are slightly larger than HFHI guidelines in order to accommodate requirements for modern living under various site conditions. All plans are designed to accommodate two people in each bedroom without the need for bunk beds. All dining and living rooms are large enough to seat at least the maximum number of people that would live in the home, e.g., ten people in the five bedroom house. *You must have a PDF reader to view the files linked to thumbnails below. If you do not have one, you may download one here.
If you would like a complete set of plans, e-mail Austin Habitat’s Design Coordinator, Catherine Lee Doar, at ldoar@ahfh.org. Please allow up to three weeks for your request to be e-mailed to you, as the Design Coordinator is often out of the office for several days at a time and for four weeks each year in December and early January.
We can send plans to you only as e-mailed AutoCad files. Please specify the AutoCad version that you would like (R14, 2000, 2007, etc.) if you know it. Otherwise, we will send the 2007 version. We regret that we cannot send pdf. files or print and mail hard copies. By requesting that we send our files, you acknowledge that the plans may not conform to the building codes in your area and may contain errors and/or omissions, and that you will hold Austin Habitat for Humanity harmless for any problems resulting from using our plans.
