Programs and Plans » Current Builds » Building on Faith  In 2009, Austin Habitat’s Building Faith, Building Community project will partner more than 35 area churches with volunteers, supporters, and families to build homes for four hard-working, low-income families. These exciting new builds are taking place in Austin's Colony, Manor, and the new Devonshire subdivision. The Catholic Build house is already under construction as of January 31 and the Methodist group raises their walls on February 21. Come February 28, the Episcopal Build begins house construction, and on September 12, we kick off "Together We Build," the 2009 Austin Habitat Ecumenical build. These congregations truly are an essential asset to our team! AHFH is excited about the success of this faith-based community endeavor and looks forward to its continuing contributions to our Austin community.
