Building on Faith
In 2008, Austin Habitat’s Building Faith, Building Community project will partner over 25 area churches with volunteers, supporters, and families to build homes for four hard-working, low-income families. The Austin's Colony and Frontier Valley subdivisions in East Austin are the sites of these exciting new builds.
The Catholic Build house is already under construction as of January 19 and the Methodist group raises their walls on February 16. Come February 23, the Episcopal Build begins house construction, and on March 1st we kick off "Together We Build," the 2008 Austin Habitat Ecumenical build.
These congregations truly are an essential asset to our team! AHFH is excited about the success of this faith-based community endeavor and looks forward to its continuing contributions to our Austin community.
