Austin Habitat for Humanity has a goal of building 20 new homes this year for families in need right here in Austin. Every Habitat for Humanity house is a community collaboration that requires more than qualifying families, land, construction expertise and volunteers: we need your support. Give to our Help Build Hope campaign now, and join the to eliminate poverty housing in our community, one house at a time.
This spring brings great gifts to Austin Habitat from the faith community, and we are tremendously thankful for all of the congregations that have come together to join in our mission of eliminating poverty housing, one home at a time. Due to the generosity of Catholic, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist and Evangelical Free churches, four houses will be Built on Faith for deserving families in 2008.
Austin is home to the Nation's first Habitat ReStore. Created to provide affordable housing materials and products to the Austin community and to support the reuse of quality donated materials, the ReStore has grown to become an Austin destination for home building and remodeling.
